I think empathy is noticing which people are comfortable with open affection and who is embarrassed and happier with a smile or handshake! Being welcoming and loving makes our world a better place and is easily achieved. Don't feel like you don't fit in or feel awkward at social gatherings- find someone to be friendly with and 'be the change you want to see in the world' as Mahatma Ghandi said!
