I WAS IN NURSING SCHOOL AND SADLY FAILED.. I WAS SO ASHAMED.. A FAILURE AND HAD TO ASK MY PREV EMPLOYER FOR MY JOB BACK.. W/OUT HESITATION I WAS HIRED AND PUTTING MY LIFE BACK TOGETHER. I WAS PUT IN ANOTHER DEPARTMENT WITH PEOPLE I DIDNT REALLY KNOW- IT WAS AN ADJUSTMENT PERIOD.. I RELIED ON THE LORD TO HELP ME GET THINGS IN ORDER.. IV BEEN A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST FOR 7YRS AND WAS TAKIN SOME THINGS FOR GRANTED.. WELL I NOW SEE HOW GOD CAN USE YOUR FAILURES AND TURN IN IT INTO A STRANGTH.. IN MY NEEW DEPARTMENT ON MY NEW TEAM MY FELLOW TEAM MATES COME TO ME FOR MORNING PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDY.. AND LOTS OF QUESTIONS ABOUT GOD AND MY FAITH.. MY MANAGER EVEN PARTICIPATES IN OUR BIBLE STUDIES.. AND I LEAVE HIM LESSONS FOR THE DAYS I LEAVE EARLY. ITS A GREAT JOY TO KNO W WHAT GOD HAS DONE WITH ME AND A PRIVLEDGE TO BE AN EXAMPLE.. TO SHINE THE LIGHT!!

right on! i attended a christian college 4 years ago, and part of the extensive written application was, "what are your missionary goals for the future?" - and it was implying PROFESSIONAL ministry. the school expected that people who went there would go there to train for missionary work, church work, etc. now, i have absolutely no calling for evangelism. i'm horrible at it. what i do have a calling for is to be an artist, and make friends with the other men and women in my studio, live well before them in the sight of God, and be unashamed...and hopefully the rest will fall into place. but it was hard at that school to not feel second-rate because i wasn't going into "The Ministry".

I am a nurse and many times have soooo many demands on me that I lose sight of Jesus in the midst of all the chaos! I am working on figuring out how to keep Him first and foremost in my mind so I can maintain peace while I am working a million miles a minute trying to meet everyones needs at once. I don't want to keep letting the devil suck the joy out of me! I plan on taking scripture cards with me to keep handy at all times- not just for me but to share with patients and co-workers. Any more suggestions?
